Conroe Icehouse may sound familiar; that’s because it is! The venue itself has cycled through a few concepts, but it’s set to reopen under new management as the Conroe Icehouse this fall, according to Community Impact. The Conroe Icehouse will open at 1355 N. Loop 336 E in Conroe as a Mexican restaurant with supplemental food trucks.
The new eatery also comes equipped with a full bar supplied with local beers and cocktails.
What Now Houston reached out to general manager Justin Marshall to find out more about the upcoming opening. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“Closing permanently starting Feb 8th 2026, ” The Icehouse Conroe, the former concept that operated in the space since May 2024, website reads.
“To every guest who walked through our doors, every friend made over cold drinks and live music, and every memory shared in our backyard. You made The Icehouse what it was. We are forever grateful for your love, loyalty, and support over the years.”
The Icehouse Conroe was a short-lived modern backyard bar, kitchen, and live music venue located on the lot on N. Loop. The 7.5-acre property officially opened as The Icehouse Conroe under the ownership of Jay and Dani Blanco in May of 2024, kicking off with an exotic car show and concert events. Management announced the permanent closure of The Icehouse Conroe on February 2, 2026. The venue officially shut its doors following a final Super Bowl Sunday event and weekend sets by local DJs on February 8–9, 2026, after operating for less than two years.
The location previously cycled through other concepts, operating as Monarch Event Venue and later as The Shout House restaurant and bar from October 2022 until early 2024.
Now embarking on its reopening, the new Conroe Icehouse will offer Mexican dishes, local food trucks, drinks, and a gathering space that has been truly missed by residents and Conroe visitors.
