Fighting Crab is bringing something fresh to the Greater Houston region. According to a recently filed permit, the new concept is expected to open in the Park Lakes area within the Canyon Lakes Shopping Center at 9739 N Sam Houston Pkwy E, Suite #170.
Fighting Crab will be taking over the existing retail space that once belonged to the Nice Furniture store. The permit further details that the construction is planned for an early August start and is slated to wrap up by mid-November. If all goes well with permitting and the $250,000 construction project, Fighting Crab should open by this fall.
“The work of this contract comprises the general construction of an interior tenant finish-out for a new restaurant from an existing retail space,” the permit reads about the 5,000 square-foot space.
Architect Kui-Mew Wong, president of Architectwon Custom Homes Design + Construction LLC, is behind the build. At the helm of the opening is Fei “Sam” Chan. What Now Houston reached out to Chan to find out more details about the upcoming opening of Fighting Crab. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
The new eatery will open in good company. Fighting Crab is slated to open alongside Batters & Brunch, Birria House-Tacos y Mas, and Crystal’s Nails & Spa.
Unfortunately, Fighting Crab does not yet have a website or social media page. With no website or social media pages, it’s hard to say what exactly the new concept will offer. But we suspect there will be seafood, due to the name. Keep your ears perked and your eyes peeled for the latest on this exciting new addition to the Greater Houston region’s culinary scene.
Fighting Crab is anticipated to open in Humble in the Park Lakes area within the Canyon Lakes Shopping Center at 9739 N Sam Houston Pkwy E, Suite #170, by this fall.
