Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab is continuing to enlarge its Houston footprint. The Houston-born stone crab and seafood eatery is planning its third opening in the region, according to the Houston Business Journal. The new Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab is expected to open in the Town & Country Village, just south of CityCentre, at 791 Town and Country Blvd., Suite 160.
The brand is aiming for a February 14, 2027, opening, barring construction and permitting. What Now Houston reached out to Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab Operating Partner, Riley Hutton, to find out more details about the exciting upcoming opening. Hutton confirmed the opening, but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
“At Truluck’s, our chefs honor and elevate every dish with superior ingredients, precise execution, and classic presentation,” the Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood & Crab website reads.
“We are unwavering in our commitment to serving the highest quality, sustainable seafood, ensuring every ingredient makes sense for the plate, the palate, and the planet. Our signature fresh Florida Stone Crab is sustainably harvested and delivered from the traps to your table in less than 24 hours, guaranteeing peak freshness and flavor.”
Founded in Houston by Stuart Sergeant in 1992, Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab was on a mission to bring fresh Florida stone crab to a new market. The private restaurant group expanded across multiple states by establishing its own fisheries and sustainable harvesting partnerships.
There are now 12 Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab restaurants across four regions, with seven of them in Texas, three in Florida, one in Rosemont, Illinois, and another in Washington, DC. The opening coming to the Town & Country Village will be the third in the Greater Houston region.
What Now also reached out to Managing Member Ken Allen to find out more about expansion plans. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
“We make choices that honor the plate, the palate, and the planet by maintaining an unwavering commitment to serving the highest-quality sustainable seafood,” Truluck’s website reads.
“We will never serve endangered, overfished species, and we always follow Ocean Conservancy guidelines. The origin of our fish is always specified on the menu, Florida Stone Crab is captured by our team of professional crabbers, and produce is sourced from local growers whenever possible.”
The menu is extensive at Truluck’s! The eatery offers two different lunch menus, dinner, a full wine and bar menu, desserts, and a prime rib Sunday menu. While Truluck’s is all about the crab, the restaurant serves a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, steaks, and so much more.
Try it all out for yourself when the new Truluck’s Ocean’s Finest Seafood and Crab opens in the Town & Country Village at 791 Town and Country Blvd., Suite 160, early next year.
