New concept, tentatively named Lazy Lane, is in the works for 923 Wakefield Dr. Spearheaded by Owner Brian Doke, the project is has an estimated cost of $300,000. According to permit details, it involves a complete interior and exterior finish-out of a 4,000-square-foot space.

A representative for Doke told What Now Houston that the name “Lazy Lane” is not yet finalized, and no opening time frame has been set. Further details about the business concept, offerings, or vision are still under wraps.

Wakefield Drive, nestled in the Oak Forest/Garden Oaks area, has seen steady growth in recent years, making it a prime location for new ventures. Details from Brian Doke and his team are expected to be released as the project progresses. For now, locals can keep an eye on 923 Wakefield Dr as it all begins to take shape.

Although no opening time frame has been set, the permit indicates renovations are scheduled to start in March 2025, with completion expected by June 2025.
