Missouri City is set to welcome a fresh wave of baked goods and café culture with the upcoming arrival of Paris Baguette at 6266 A Hwy 6. The well-known bakery chain will be brought to life by co-franchisees Jack Daswani and his wife, marking their first venture into the restaurant franchise world. For Daswani, the decision came from a mix of business strategy and personal passion.
“I’ve worked in tech, robotics, and even education-based franchise models,” Daswani said. “But I’ve always enjoyed baking and seeing people enjoy the product. That’s what drew me to Paris Baguette—the culture, the quality, and the vibe just felt right.” The family-forward nature of the venture runs deep, with Daswani’s mother set to oversee front-of-house operations when the location opens.
Though originally from New Orleans, the Daswanis are relocating from California to Missouri City specifically to launch the business. They chose the site strategically, citing the area’s lack of comparable offerings as a major motivator. The new Paris Baguette will move into the former Top Sushi location, undergoing a full interior transformation with new kitchen equipment, partition walls, and updated plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems.
The commercial tenant improvement project is privately funded with an estimated cost of $700,000, covering 3,295 square feet. While this marks their first step into the food space, Daswani confirmed they’re looking ahead with ambition: “We definitely do plan to open more.”
The Missouri City bakery is projected to open by December 2025 or January 2026.
