Pour Decisions Craft Coffee + Beer is set to debut in Texas with a huge grand opening this summer. According to a recent press release, the coffee house and local brew is slated to open in The Heights at 555 W. 19th St.

“For years, we’ve had interest from customers out in Texas,” Pour Decisions Craft Coffee and Beer Founder, Vince Cao, said in an interview with What Now Houston.

“They would DM us and make suggestions. I have a friend who also expressed interest in taking our brand there, and he will be my local partner and operator. Knowing that someone is local gives me confidence that we will do well.”

Cao founded Pour Decisions Craft Coffee and Beer in San Jose, California, in 2023. Merging a traditional Vietnamese and specialty phin-drip coffee shop with a rotating California craft beer taproom, the concept expanded to Mountain View, California, in 2025.

“Pour Decisions Craft is family friendly cafe that offers specialty coffee, matcha, and craft beer,” Cao said.

“We focus on crafting recipes that are unique and highlight the diverse cultures of the Bay Area and Houston.”

There are now three Pour Decisions Craft Coffee and Beer locations in the Bay Area. The debut Texas location set to open this summer would be the brand’s fourth opening since its inception. The new coffee house and tap room will open alongside the Foundry on 19th.

“We looked at several locations, but this Heights location resembles two of our Bay Area locations, where there are apartments and condos above,” Cao shared.

“The space also has a big patio space where we will host fun events for the community, such as Pokémon card nights, trivia nights, puppy day, and more.”

The booming Bay Area brand is more than just a coffee shop. Pour Decisions Craft Coffee and Beer was created as a neighborhood gathering place where families, friends, professionals, and coffee lovers can connect from morning to evening.

“Our top seller is Peanut Butter Latte – the most unique drink that you can’t find anywhere else. Other popular items are: Hawaiian Latte, Banana Matcha, Ube Cream Coffee, and Strawberry Lychee Lemonade,” Cao shared.

While coffee is at the heart of the concept, Pour Decisions Craft continues to garner a following for its carefully curated selection of craft beer, making it one of the few places in Houston where guests can enjoy a quality local brew beginning at 7 a.m. without the atmosphere of a bar or pub. The cafe also offers creative beverage options that can be paired with craft beer or transformed into cool cocktails.

“We hope we’re a fun, friendly and impactful partner to the community. We love partnering with local bakeries and food trucks,” Cao said.

The Lone Star State’s first Pour Decisions Craft Coffee and Beer will host a grand opening on  August 8th at 10 am. The first 100 customers will receive gift bags with swag and other Pour Decisions giveaways in them.

“We hope this is the new gathering space for all in the Heights,” Cao said.
