Jones Road Beauty is coming to Houston! According to a recently filed Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation permit, the “no-makeup makeup” cosmetics company is set to open a boutique in Rice Village at 2411 Times Blvd., Suite 130.
The permit further details that construction on the Jones Road Beauty store is expected to start in September and is slated to wrap up in early November. If all goes well with permitting and the estimated $248,000 construction project on the new Jones Road Beauty store, the new boutique should open by this fall.
The 1,415-square-foot space that the new Jones Road Beauty store will take over in Rice Village was previously occupied by MAC Cosmetics, which permanently closed alongside a wave of standalone MAC storefront reductions.
What Now Houston reached out to Jone Road Beauty’s Director of Supply Chain and Customer Experience, Matthew Jadro, to find out more about the upcoming opening. Unfortunately, we did not hear back by the time of this publication. What Now also briefly chatted with the brand’s Director of Marketing and Creative Operations, Genevieve Outwater, who confirmed the opening but was unable to share further details as she is on maternity leave.

The legendary makeup artist and author founded Jones Road Beauty in 2020. Brown opened the new brand exactly when her 25-year non-compete clause expired following her departure from her original namesake brand. Named after a road she passed in the Hamptons, the independent, direct-to-consumer line was created to champion clean, high-grade, multi-use “no-makeup makeup”.
There are now at least 12 retail brick-and-mortar Jones Road Beauty storefronts, including its flagship location in New Jersey, multiple spots across major US cities, and an international counter in the UK. There are currently two of those stores in Texas, one in Austin and one in Dallas. The upcoming opening is a highly anticipated debut!
What Now also reached out to Brown and the Vice President of Retail at Jones Road Beauty, Juliet Baker, to find out more about the debut and possibly the grand opening. But we did not hear back by the time of this publication.
