A Houston-based luxury furniture retailer has announced its permanent closure. Noel Furniture revealed the news in a social media post. The five-decade-old furniture company also plans to host a Going Out of Business Sale. The sale begins on June 5.
Noel Furniture to Close After Five Decades in Houston
Luxury home furnishing retailer and interior design showroom Noel Furniture was founded in 1976. Operated by Tod Noel, the company has been a renowned name in the home furnishing industry for the last 50 years.
The retailer specializes in high-end living room, bedroom, dining room, and outdoor furniture, as well as lighting and home décor.
The company announced the closure in a Facebook post on June 2. In the closure announcement post, the retailer said, “For more than half a century, Noel Furniture has had the privilege of shaping some of Texas’ most beautiful homes. Today, we share a deeply personal decision: we will be closing our doors.”
The team behind the furniture company also thanked the community and said, “We’re incredibly grateful for the support, memories, and trust our community has given us over the years.”
Final Clearance Sale Begins on June 5
To celebrate the final chapter, the Noel Furniture team plans to organize a clearance sale. “As we begin this final chapter, we invite you to visit us one last time during our Going Out of Business Sale.” According to the FurnitureToday report, the liquidation sale will begin on June 5.
“Noël Furniture has partnered with furniture promotional sales specialists Planned Furniture Promotions to oversee the company’s final sale event,” stated the report.
The team invited the community to stop in and added, “Enjoy storewide savings and help us celebrate the journey that brought us here.”
With the closure of Noel Furniture, the Houston community is losing a longstanding luxury furniture retail store.
