Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls is closing its Jacksonville location after nearly two years of service on August 25, 2026. The restaurant team shared the closure announcement on social media.
Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls to Close After 22 Months
The Annapolis-based seafood joint is well known for serving a New England-style menu and primarily focuses on wild-caught Maine lobster. The restaurant’s signature lobster rolls are served on buttered, grilled split-top buns without heavy seasonings or fillers. The rolls feature sustainably sourced Maine lobster.
On August 23, the Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls team shared the closure news on social media. The restaurant team wrote in its announcement, “It’s with a very heavy heart that we share that Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls at St. Johns Town Center will be closing its doors this upcoming Tuesday, August 25th.”
According to the Jacksonville.com, the restaurant will shut down after 22 months (roughly two years) of service. Located at 668 Town Crossing Drive, Suite 105, in St. Johns Town Center, the restaurant was the chain’s second location in Northeast Florida.
The report also stated that the Town Center location closure follows the sudden closure of the Durbin Park location last year.
In the closure announcement, the restaurant team thanked the community and customers for their support. They said, “To everyone who walked through our doors, stopped by for a lobster roll, brought your family and friends, celebrated a special moment with us, or simply came in to say hello—thank you.” The restaurant also added a note of appreciation for the staff.

Fernandina Beach Location Remains Open
Founded by Dan Beck in 2014, Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls has since expanded to multiple locations, including Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Miami, and Arizona.
While the St. Johns Town Center location is closing, Mason’s will continue operating its Fernandina Beach location. The outlet, located in the Northeast Florida neighborhood, was founded in 2023, mentioned the Jacksonville.com report.
Before the closure, the restaurant encouraged customers to stop by for one final visit. “We hope you’ll stop by and see us one last time before we close on Tuesday. Come grab your favorite lobster roll, say goodbye, and share one more memory with us,” added the team.
