A new family-owned diner is taking shape in Jasper, bringing fresh food, homemade favorites and a little more variety to the local dining scene.
According to city permits, Salt & Pepper Diner will open at 104 Central Avenue. The owners are constantly posting updates on their progress on Facebook.
The business introduced itself to the community in July, calling the new diner a place where people can enjoy fresh food, great service, homemade dishes, and a warm environment.
While the restaurant is still under construction, the owners have been giving customers a look at the progress. Recent updates show flooring work underway as the space gradually starts to come together.
“There’s still plenty of work ahead, but seeing each piece come together makes it all worth it,” the owners shared in a recent Facebook update.
The diner is also teasing what could become one of its standout offerings, a large salad bar. “And when we say salad bar… we mean super salad bar!” the business wrote in another update, highlighting a spread of fresh vegetables, toppings and other options that customers will be able to mix and match. Soup will also be available.
The salad bar adds another option to the traditional diner-style menu the business is building around fresh and familiar food.
The owners have also made it clear that the space is being designed with the community in mind, with plans for tables and booths where customers can sit down, enjoy a meal and spend time together.
At this stage there is no opening date, for more information about the opening, check out the Salt & Pepper Diner Facebook page.
