Pecos Plaza will soon be home to San Francisco Bay Restaurant, an eatery serving coastal cuisine brought to town by Las Vegas local Gustavo Aguilar.
What Now Las Vegas reached out to Aguilar on Thursday afternoon. Aguilar confirmed the news, describing the project as the product of a memorable stay in the Bay Area, eating local cuisine with freshly-made, never-frozen ingredients.
“I really love the food, and I love to cook,” Aguilar said, describing the restaurant’s inspiration. “I wanted to bring it to Las Vegas.”
The restaurant’s menu will include an eclectic selection of dishes like clam chowder and crab alfredo spaghetti, with an emphasis on seafood and on freshly-made ingredients. Guests will be able to watch through a window as cooks bake fresh sourdough bread and pizza dough and make homemade pasta in a prep room.
“Everything will be made from scratch,” Aguilar said. “No frozen ingredients.”
Located at 5725 S Pecos Rd Las Vegas D-1, the restaurant will move into a space previously occupied by Oliva Restaurant, in a small community of retail and dining locations called Pecos Plaza. Dining options located nearby include Amigos Tacos & Cantina, La Papaya Deli, Golden Flower Chinese Cuisine, and Smoke & Fire Barbecue Restaurant.
