Sbarro is expanding its Sin City footprint with an opening on the Las Vegas Strip. Sbarro is anticipated to be one of the first tenants to open within The Marketplace @ Harmon Corner, located at the iconic intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue directly on the Las Vegas Strip. Signs for the new eatery at 3717 S Las Vegas Blvd are already up.
The Marketplace @ Harmon Corner is a brand-new outdoor retail and dining destination located on one of the most recognizable corners of the Las Vegas Strip. It is clear to see that construction is currently underway. The development team behind the opening shared that the new Sbarro is slated to open by this summer.
“With exposure to more than 30 million pedestrian trips annually and proximity to major resort destinations including ARIA, The Cosmopolitan, and The Shops at Crystals, the property offers an unmatched platform for brands looking to connect with both visitors and locals,” Colliers Realty Executive Vice President Deanna Marcello said in an interview with What Now Las Vegas.
“Sbarro is an excellent addition to the tenant lineup and a globally recognized brand that fits naturally within the fast-paced, high-energy environment of the Strip. Their fast-casual concept offers fresh pizza by the slice as well as whole pies, making it an ideal dining option for guests looking for quality, convenience, and a recognizable brand experience while visiting Las Vegas.”
What Now Las Vegas reached out to Sbarro CEO David Karam for more details about the upcoming opening, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Founded in 1956 by Neapolitan immigrants Gennaro and Carmela “Mama” Sbarro, Sbarro first opened as an Italian salumeria in New York. After Carmela’s pizza slices became a massive hit with shift workers, the family pivoted to a dedicated pizza and Italian fast-food model. There are now more than 800 Sbarro locations worldwide across 27 countries, with more than 300 of those in the US alone.
Top states include California, Florida, and Ohio. Nevada has just 15 sprawled across the state, with the majority in Las Vegas, including one inside the Fashion Show Mall on the Strip, not far from where the new eatery will open.
Sbarro offers a variety of pizzas, strombolis, desserts, and more.
