If you’ve been to the new Great Greek at The Bend, you may have a good sense of what’s coming next for The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill in Las Vegas and beyond. That location was years in the making, and it features an updated, elevated aesthetic that Vegas is about to see more of.
First off, what might be kind of an elephant in the room: that Centennial Hills location, which What Now first reported on about two years—is that still a thing? The answer is yes. And it’s not the only new location the brand has in store for the valley this year.
What Now reached out to Great Greek founder Nick Della Penna on Monday after coming across building permit paperwork submitted to Clark County for a new Great Greek in Summerlin, at 2375 S Town Center Drive.
“We’re under construction there,” Della Penna told What Now. “We’re looking to open in the summer, probably another four or five months out.”
Della Penna said the new location will feature the updated aesthetic found at The Bend location, as well a greater-than-usual focus on dine-in service.
“It’s got one of the largest dining rooms within the city; about 60 people can sit in the dining room. We just felt like there’s going to be more dine-in business in the Summerlin market. And that will allow for different seating options, bigger booths, things you don’t normally find.”
And what about the Centennial location?
“For Centennial, we’re looking at Q4 of this year,” said Della Penna. “We’re really excited to get into both of those areas.”
The Great Greek menu features entrees like Souvlaki made with grilled chicken, grilled steak, Australian lamb or garlic shrimp. There are Gyros and other handhelds like the Greek Salad Wrap, the Falafel Pita, and the Athenian Burger. And there’s also a selection a selection of desserts, including baklava, Mom’s Rice Pudding, and Baklava Ice Cream.
Della Penna says the menu at the Great Greek is also undergoing an evolution.
“One thing the brand is evolving into is having some LTO [limited-time-only] offerings. We run daily specials on occasion but this summer we’re going to be launching some targeted LTO specials across the brand.”
So stay tuned for new seasonal menu items opening not only in Las Vegas, but also at various franchise locations across the country.
