Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba (also known as Menya Kokoro) is planning its Nevada debut. According to a Clark County permit, the new ramen eatery is expected to open in the Paradise neighborhood within The Collective at 3900 Paradise Rd, Ste B.

What Now Las Vegas briefly spoke with the owner and founder, Chef Takuma Ishikawa, fondly known as “Hiro.” Hiro confirmed the opening but was unable to share further details by the time of this publication. However, he did explain that the process of opening is underway.

“Fascinated by Mazesoba, which originated in Nagoya, Takuma Ishikawa, founder of KOKORO (now CEO), opened his first shop in January 2014 in Ookayama, Ota-ku, Tokyo, with the desire to make the then little-known Mazesoba available to Tokyo residents,” the Kokoro Tokoyo Mazesoba website reads.

“The first shop was said to be in a difficult location for business, far from the nearest station (Ookayama Station), where many ramen stores had opened and disappeared, but it quickly established itself as a thriving shop thanks to its friendly customer service and outstanding products.”

Winning the prestigious Best Mazesoba Award in 2014, the brand expanded globally to dozens of locations across Japan, North America, and Southeast Asia. There are now more than 50 Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba locations worldwide. The debut in the Las Vegas Valley comes with much excitement.
Famous for mazesoba, a brothless, mixed Japanese ramen. Their signature dish features thick, house-made noodles topped with umami-rich minced meat, a raw egg yolk, nori, and green onions. Diners mix it all together, add vinegar to taste, and finish their bowl by adding complimentary “oimeshi” (a scoop of white rice) to soak up the remaining sauce.
Try it all out for yourself when Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba debuts in Nevada in the Paradise neighborhood within The Collective at 3900 Paradise Rd, Ste B later this year.
