A new Irish pub is preparing to open on Tropicana Avenue, east of the intersection with Maryland Parkway. Called The Irish Spot, it will launch in the standalone building at 1350 E Tropicana Ave., according to licensing paperwork submitted to Clark County by Truck Yeah Catering LLC.

What Now confirmed news of the opening with co-owner Ryan Whelan on Wednesday.

“We’re on the November gaming agenda,” Whelan said. “So we won’t have a definite date until after that. But I expect to open either in late December or early-to-mid-January.”

Further information is not yet available about the Irish Spot’s menu offerings and overall brand profile, but What Now is awaiting an update, so stay tuned.

The address given in the submitted paperwork is that of the building formerly occupied by Crown & Anchor British Pub, which is now located at 4755 W Spring Mountain Road.
