Wetzel’s Pretzels is embarking on a change to its operations for its food truck that currently serves the Valley. According to a City of Las Vegas permit, the food truck, which operates out of The Food Factory Food Truck Commissary at 949 Empire Mesa Way, will now be run by franchisee Christine Ana.
“We just purchased it from the current owner,” Ana said in a quick interview with What Now Las Vegas.
Ana runs the Salty Wagon LLC and confirmed that she would be taking over the Wetzel’s Pretzels Valley location in the coming month, but nothing will change on the menu.
The truck can be found at the commissary but can also roll through for special events and catering opportunities.
“The best things in life are fresh, and we bake all our pretzels fresh from scratch every day,” the Wetzel’s Pretzels website reads.
“Whether an Original Pretzel for a snack on the go, shareable and dip-able Cin-A-Bitz made from scratch, Sweet Glaze, or a Wetzel Dog meal with an ice-cold lemonade, we’ve got you covered. We have something for everyone to grab a little happiness in the palm of your hand.”
Wetzel’s Pretzels got its start in 1994, when Rick Wetzel and Bill Phelps opened a location in Redondo Beach, California. What began as a mission to create high-quality, fresh-baked soft pretzels rapidly grew from a local mall snack to a global brand.
The company started franchising in 1996 and was acquired by MTY Food Group in 2022. There are now more than 450 Wetzel’s Pretzels locations throughout the country, with a goal to surpass 500 locations in the near future. There are more than ten locations, including the food truck, currently operating in the Valley.
The Wetzel’s Pretzels food truck, which operates out of The Food Factory Food Truck Commissary at 949 Empire Mesa Way, is expected to change ownership by the end of next month.
