Going Batty Quilt Shop is embarking on a huge second opening. According to a Facebook post on the Reno-based sewing and quilting shop’s Facebook page, the company is coming to Las Vegas! Going Batty Quilt Shop is planning to open its second location in West Sahara within the Village Square at 9400 W Sahara Avenue, Suite 14.

“We can’t wait to welcome our Quilty Family into a brand-new space filled with fabric, machines, education, inspiration, and a few surprises we’ve been working on behind the scenes,” the Facebook post reads.
The plan is to debut in Vegas this fall.
“I made the trip down to check on the progress of our newest Going Batty location, and it’s amazing to see everything coming together. Every visit makes it feel a little more real, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead,” the Facebook post reads.
“We’re still on track for a late fall opening, and trust me… it’s going to be worth the wait.”
The shop opened its doors in 2003 in Reno, providing a welcoming gathering place for quilting and sewing enthusiasts of all skill levels. The store is owned by Keegan McGhie and Edmira Andrade McGhie, with Keegan serving as a prominent sewing educator specializing in sergers and creative machine use.
