Green Valley Grocery is continuing to expand its footprint across the Las Vegas Valley. According to a City of Las Vegas permit, Green Valley Grocery is planned for a Centennial Hills opening at 9675 Oso Blanca Rd.
There are actually two permits for the convenience store chain to open on Oso Blanca Road, indicating that both alcohol and tobacco will be sold at the new Centennial Hills store. No word yet on exactly when the new Green Valley Grocery store will open, but we suspect it will be sometime this year.
What Now Las Vegas briefly spoke with founder and long-time owner, Rick Crawford, who confirmed the opening but, unfortunately, was unable to share further details by the time of this publication.
Crawford, a former 7-Eleven manager, opened the very first 2,400-square-foot Green Valley Grocery in Henderson in 1978. Green Valley Grocery has since become a staple of Southern Nevada. The business has grown into a regional powerhouse operating dozens of neighborhood convenience stores across the Las Vegas Valley, Pahrump, and Mesquite.
There are now 87 Green Valley Grocery locations across Southern Nevada. The chain grew into a larger enterprise under Midjit Market, which also included Crawford Oil and Crawford Coin for slot gaming operations. However, the 87-store chain was acquired by California-based Anabi Oil last year.
What Now also reached out to Anabi Oil owner, Sam Anabi, but did not hear back by the time of this publication.
Green Valley Grocery is anticipated to open in Centennial Hills at 9675 Oso Blanca Rd later this year.
