nudes is a new frozen yogurt shop opening in Los Angeles. The shop will open with four frozen yogurt flavors and one featured topping combination. The concept was inspired by the founders’ love of frozen yogurt.
nudes to Open First Los Angeles Location in October
nudes is opening its first location in Los Angeles this October at 165 S. Crescent Heights Blvd. with a soft launch on October 1. The grand opening is on October 8. The concept was founded by Jason Afriat and Sasha Solonin.
The founders are bringing the concept after years of creating events and brand experiences through Motion LA, which they co-founded in 2020. Their work has included projects for brands such as Lululemon and Telemundo.
The founders said they often ate frozen yogurt during late-night meetings and wanted to create a shop of their own. That experience eventually led them to develop their own concept.
They then spent six months developing their frozen yogurt recipes after testing two final recipes with 100 local community members. They combined elements of both recipes to create the yogurt base used at the shop.
The founders said they hope the shop will attract customers from Beverly Grove and West Hollywood.
Menu Highlights
nudes will open with four flavors: Plain Tart, Vegan Chocolate, Coconut, and Pomegranate. The shop will also offer a featured Plain Tart combination topped with halva, honey, olive oil, and pistachio.
The menu takes inspiration from Italy, the Mediterranean, Turkey, and France. Instead of a traditional topping bar, nudes will offer a selection of ingredients. This includes whipped honey, matcha, salt, baklava, halva, pistachio cream, spicy jam, olive oil, seasonal fruit, dates, dried figs, passion fruit puree, cookie butter, and dulce de leche.
The shop will combine its signature yogurt flavors with a selection of sweet and savory-inspired toppings when it opens this October.
