The Wish You Were Here Group, which brought the Los Angeles restaurants Élephante, The Eveleigh, and Kassi Club, is opening a new restaurant in Venice called Belles Beach House, located at 24 Windward Ave.

The new upscale tiki-inspired restaurant and bar will move into a 10,000 square-foot space by Fall 2021. Belles Beach House will replace Larry’s, a gastropub owned by the Wish You Were Here Group. Restaurateur Nick Mathers will be operating this new restaurant, along with the three aforementioned restaurants in Los Angeles.

The Wish You Were here Group has restaurants located in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York. All of the restaurants from this group encompass a beachside ambiance inspired by Australia. Belles Beach House is no exception and will be located only a few steps away from Venice Beach. Details regarding what will be offered at this new restaurant are unknown, but guests can expect tiki-inspired drinks at the bar, such as mai tais.

“The Wish You Were Here Group is intrinsically tied to beach culture,” according to their website. “Our own hospitality histories began in the Northern Beaches of Sydney, and our branding and identity from the very first Ruby’s have aimed to bring this laidback Australian beachside ethos to the US hospitality scene.”
