Taroko Sports, a sports and entertainment facility with indoor batting cages, arcade games, food, drinks, and other activities, is preparing to open in Northridge at 19500 W. Plummer St.
The proposed location will occupy a 20,587-square-foot vacant tenant space on the second floor of Plaza Di Northridge, according to the Los Angeles City Planning Department. The space has been vacant for several years and was previously occupied by Burlington Coat Factory, with seasonal uses taking place there more recently. An exact opening date has not been announced. Customers can expect batting cages, arcade games, electronic darts, mini bowling, dining, and other sports-related activities.
According to the approved determination letter, the project involves interior tenant improvements to convert the existing space into an indoor batting cage and arcade facility with indoor dining services. The proposed dining areas will include 150 indoor seats, with hours of operation listed as 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. All activities are proposed to take place indoors.
The Northridge location will be Taroko Sports’ first location in California. During a July 2026 public hearing, a representative for the applicant said the company operates locations in Arizona and Texas, with additional locations in other markets. The company was established in Taiwan in 2003 through Taroko Industries Co., Ltd., which opened the Taroko Baseball and Softball Batting Field.
The facility will include several types of sports and entertainment activities. Taroko Sports lists batting cages with automatic ball return and adjustable speeds, pitching challenges, HitTrax swing suites, electronic darts, miniature bowling, and arcade games among its attractions. The company also offers birthday parties, team outings, corporate events, and other group gatherings.
Food and drinks will also be available at the Northridge location. The menu includes pizza, chicken wings, tenders, quesadillas, melts, nachos, fries, mozzarella sticks, pretzels, mini churros, and other snacks. Drinks include fountain beverages and specialty options such as the Home Run Float, Gold Glove Sparkler, Perfect Pitch Palmer, and Taroko Punch.
