Dragon Alley Coffee is ramping up toward opening at 312 Santa Monica Blvd in Santa Monica. The team is wrapping up construction with plans to open around the end of the month, owner Richard Chand told What Now Los Angeles.
“The Dragon Alley Coffee shop is something we wanted to bring to the Santa Monica community to try the gourmet coffee we all love and enjoy,” Chand said.
The 1,000-square-foot coffee shop will feature a whimsical interior where the team plans to “brew the magic and serve with passion,” according to Chand. It will feature seating where customers can relax and enjoy their coffee in a Harry Potter-esque, hipster environment.
The menu will feature items including espresso-based beverages, matcha imported from Japan and a house blend coffee with a smokey finish.
The space is designed to allow people to slow down, enjoy a cup of coffee and find their inner strength to move forward. The Santa Monica location will serve as the flagship location for the brand. Chand hopes to expand across the U.S., adding about two stores per year.
“We can do it all. It just takes a little planning and getting our head straight, and we can conquer everything,” Chand said. “We are all dragon inside, and it only takes one moment to find our strength and conquer the world.”
