Chef Coskun Abik, the chef behind New American restaurant Blind Butcher in San Francisco, is bringing a new restaurant to Los Angeles at 7505 Melrose Ave., according to a recent ABC filing. Abik confirmed in a message to What Now Los Angeles that he has a concept heading to the location. Abik said he and his team are aiming for an opening at the end of June.

What Now Los Angeles has reached out for additional details, including confirmation for the name of the concept, the menu and the design, but is still awaiting further information.

Abik has found success on the Northern California culinary scene. He is behind Blind Butcher in San Francisco, offering menu items such as hand-cut prime steaks, seafood and local produce. Abik is also the executive chef behind Ophelia in Los Gatos, a restaurant rooted in Aegean and Anatolian cuisine.
