Zara, an international fashion retailer, is getting ready to expand its presence at Los Cerritos Center in Cerritos with a new 45,000-square-foot flagship store.
The new location is set to debut in 2027, expanding Zara’s footprint at the shopping center from 22,000 square feet to 45,000 square feet, according to a press release. The current Zara location will remain open throughout construction so customers can continue shopping at the center. The new store will be designed as a digitally forward shopping experience.
The expansion comes as Los Cerritos Center continues to add new retailers and concepts. The 1.3 million-square-foot shopping center is also welcoming Cider, set to open during the holiday season, along with the return of Coach in fall 2026. Other new additions include Aritzia, Alo Yoga, gorjana, Samsung, Athleta, Chan Bai Mei Fruit Candy, and La Pasta.
Los Cerritos Center serves shoppers in Southeast Los Angeles and Orange County and includes retailers such as Apple, Nordstrom, Zara, MAC, and lululemon, along with dining and entertainment options. The center is also preparing for the arrival of Bacio di Latte, Molly Tea, Wslala, and DICK’S House of Sport. DICK’S House of Sport is scheduled to open in 2028 and will include an indoor climbing wall, golf bays with TrackMan simulators, and HitTrax multi-sport cages.
Zara is an international fashion company owned by Inditex, one of the world’s largest distribution groups. According to the company, its business model covers design, production, distribution, and sales through its retail network. Zara says its designers respond to customer feedback and changing trends when developing new products, while the company also continues working to reduce its environmental impact.
“Zara’s decision to more than double its footprint at Los Cerritos Center is a testament to both the strength of our property and our strong, consistent shopper base,” Stephanie Eglin, general manager of Los Cerritos Center, said in a press release. “Top retail brands continue to choose and invest in Los Cerritos Center because shoppers in our exceptional trade area continue to choose our property, powering outstanding performance. From Zara’s flagship transformation and the return of Gen Z darling Coach to fresh, digital-first concepts like Cider, we’re focused on broadening and reinforcing our retail mix, along with the customer experience, giving people more reasons to spend time with us.”
