A new restaurant is coming to Memphis and it’s certain to get local foodies buzzing. Beehive 35 has been making its way through the permitting process, bringing locals closer to unravelling the mystery of just what the eatery has to offer.

Beehive 35 is setting up its colony at 1656 Lamar Avenue. A certificate of occupancy issued by the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development in September of this year shows that the restaurant will have an occupant load of 90.

Beehive 35 applied for a liquor license with the City of Memphis Alcohol Commission, which was approved by the committee at a November 19th meeting. This does not provide an abundance of clarity as to Beehive 35’s nature, however it does let future customers know that there is some bar component to the concept.

An opening timeline is not presently available, nor does Beehive 35 have a digital presence. However the restaurant received its sign permit on December 6, a positive indicator that the concept will be ready to greet customers in the near future. What Now Memphis has reached out to ownership for more information and will update readers as details become available.
