A Memphis restaurateur’s next project promises to return life and music to an area storefront. Tim Quinn has filed papers for an establishment referred to as “Cat Club LLC” in the space previously occupied by Rooster’s Blues House.
There is not presently an abundance of information available about the new concept headed to 535 S Highland Street. A certificate of occupancy currently under review with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development does offer a few hints at what’s in store-enough to make the Cat Club an intriguing prospective new arrival.
The business use for the 7,354 square foot establishment is listed as “bar/music venue”, suggesting it will follow the precedent set by Rooster’s, though it is not yet clear precisely how closely.
Quinn’s connection to the project is, however, the puzzle piece likely to inspire the most excitement. Tim, alongside his wife Tarrah, successfully launched Madison Tavern from the old Local on the Square site and clearly has a mind for hospitality and reimagining old favorites.
