Fancy’s Fish House, located at 1 Doctor M.L.K. Jr Ave, Suite #101, has temporarily closed its doors to undergo a transformative overhaul. This closure heralds the start of a comprehensive reimagining, ushering in an entirely fresh dining experience for patrons.

Behind this evolution is Carlisle Restaurant Group, which is also the investor of Amelia Gene’s. Although details surrounding the forthcoming concept remain scant, CEO Chance Carlisle did reveal that the venue is currently in the “early stages of re-concepting” and anticipates a grand reopening in the fall of 2024.

According to The Daily Memphian, the decision to revamp this renowned seafood spot stems from Carlisle Restaurant Group’s commitment to catering to the evolving preferences of the community. Fancy’s, with a relatively short tenure of less than two years, bid farewell to patrons this past Tuesday, November 28.

Despite the lingering uncertainty, exciting transformations are undoubtedly on the horizon for this expansive 5,600-square-foot restaurant space nestled in the heart of Downtown Memphis.
