A rock-and-roll-inspired sushi chain known for its fusion of Asian and American flavors will soon make its Arkansas debut.
Franchisees Kristen and Cody McPherson, alongside Sidney and Aaron Duty, recently inked a deal to bring three Rock N’ Roll Sushi locations to the state, reports AY Magazine.
Cody, a seasoned franchisee, already operates several Crumbl Cookies and Potbelly Sandwich Works locations. He opened his first Crumbl shop in 2022 and later partnered with Aaron to add two more stores in 2023 and 2024.
The first Arkansas Rock N’ Roll Sushi location will find its home at 2411 Race St, Suite A in Jonesboro, according to the eatery’s Facebook page. Aaron told What Now Memphis that the team hopes to open the restaurant in May 2025.
A second site is planned for Fort Smith, while a third outpost is being considered for either Northwest Arkansas or an area surrounding Jonesboro.
Each restaurant will feature the brand’s signature rock-and-roll ambiance that patrons have come to love: rock music, music videos, and decor inspired by classic rock acts. The menu boasts a wide selection of sushi rolls named after legendary rock bands, plus tempura-fried dishes, hibachi, and sake cocktails.
Since its franchising launch in 2015, Rock N’ Roll Sushi has expanded to more than 70 locations across the Southeastern United States and beyond. The chain currently operates two Memphis area locations: one in Bartlett’s Market at Wolfcreek and another on Poplar Ave in Germantown. Additional locations are on the way.
