Smoothie King, the fast-growing franchise known for using whole fruits and organic veggies, is opening a new location in Whitehaven at 4461 Elvis Presley Blvd.

The company’s newest location will be owned and operated by franchisee Bryan Williams. He tells What Now Memphis he plans to have a soft opening at the beginning of October, with a grand opening planned for October 9 if everything goes accordingly. The franchise owner recently obtained a commercial electrical permit at the beginning of the month, pushing plans forward. Williams also serves as a real estate investor in the Memphis area.

This location will be perfect for the new Smoothie King, which will sit on a busy stretch of retailers and restaurants near the Southbrook Town Center Shopping Mall. This will be the furthest southwest location for the company, with at least a dozen in the greater Memphis area. The next closest location is in Southaven, MS. The new Smoothie King will also be close to the Memphis International Airport.

Since franchising started, Smoothie King has grown to more than 1,145 locations in the United States, with Texas having the most stores. The company has become a big-name competitor in the smoothie world, offering organic coffee blends and smoothies made with whole fruit, organic veggies, and no syrups. Unlike its competitors, such as Jamba Juice, Smoothie King does add a ton of sugar to its drinks, making them healthy and delicious.
