A popular açaí bar with two locations in Mississippi has closed one of its shops for renovations.

Bare Fruit Açaí Bar, formerly known as The Açaí Bar, has temporarily shut down its Southaven site at 5847 Getwell Rd for a rebranding initiative.

Owner Molly Burgess announced the news on Facebook, sharing, “🚀 Exciting News! 🚀 We’re rebranding and bringing a whole new experience to Southaven!”

Burgess told What Now Memphis that the goal of the rebranding is to create a closer alignment with the eatery’s sister shop in Olive Branch, also called Bare Fruit Açaí Bar. She expressed her excitement about the transition and her desire for the community to support the brand’s new direction.

Upon reopening, Bare Fruit Southaven will sport a fresh look and menu, along with a new app feature, online ordering, delivery options, and loyalty program perks.

In the meantime, patrons are encouraged to visit the Olive Branch location, which offers a diverse selection of smoothies, açaí bowls, light bites, and cold-pressed juices. The eatery recently launched its fall menu, featuring seasonal delights like warm cinnamon sugar oats and pumpkin apple açaí bowls.

The tentative reopening date for Bare Fruit Açaí Bar Southaven is set for November. For the latest updates, follow the shop on Facebook and Instagram.
