Mary Claire White, owner of Sugar Ghost Memphis, is preparing to sign a lease in the coming days, and has filed permits to renovate a second location of her ice cream and bubble tea concept at 9077 Poplar Ave.

The first Sugar Ghost opened its doors in October 2021 on Broad Street, following a soft opening via food truck.

Proposed renovations of the new location in the StoneCreek Centre shopping mall include paint, new cabinets and countertops, new flooring and removing walls.

Sugar Ghost offers Fruit Tea, Milk Tea, Ice Cream Cake, Coffee Soda from Comeback Coffee, and myriad ice cream concoctions in a wide variety of flavors, from Mud Island and Lavender & Honey, to Nanner Puddin and Dragonfruit Sorbet. Several vegan options are always available.

When contacted by What Now Memphis, Mary Claire White preferred not to comment, as the lease has not yet been signed. She stated that permit filings were a bit premature.
