A new Japanese-Chinese restaurant is coming to Memphis’ Hickory Ridge-South Riverdale neighborhood.

According to the eatery’s manager, who confirmed the news with What Now Memphis, Tokyo House is preparing to debut at 6755 E Shelby Dr, taking over the former Hot Rooster Wings & Things space.

Notably, this new Tokyo House does not appear to be related to the existing Tokyo House in Horn Lake, Mississippi.

Owner Lingling Dong, a Southaven resident, was unavailable for comment, but the manager said that the restaurant will serve classic hibachi dishes, including fried rice and grilled vegetables, along with a variety of boba tea flavors.

While an exact opening date has not yet been set, Tokyo House is expected to welcome guests sometime within the next two to three months.
