Hilton to Open Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach by 2027
Hilton and Reuben Brothers have announced their newest project in Miami Beach. An existing beachfront hotel on Collins Avenue will be renovated and rebranded. This will mark the luxury brand’s first hotel in the area.
The hotel will join the Waldorf Astoria brand’s global portfolio once renovations are completed. It will also strengthen Hilton’s growing luxury presence in Florida. Hilton already operates more than 520 properties in the state.
“This signing reflects the continued momentum of Hilton’s luxury portfolio growth in highly sought-after destinations across the Americas,” said Danny Hughes, president, Americas, Hilton. “With a growing Florida presence that now spans from Orlando to South Florida, our luxury brands continue to resonate with travelers seeking bespoke experiences. Miami Beach is a globally renowned locale with strong demand for elevated hospitality, and we are proud to partner with Reuben Brothers to introduce Waldorf Astoria in a way that both celebrates the city’s character and sets a new benchmark for modern luxury.”
The Miami Beach project builds on Hilton and Reuben Brothers’ recent collaboration to restore Waldorf Astoria London – Admiralty Arch. The hotel will also participate in the Hilton Honors loyalty program. Hilton is also developing a Waldorf Astoria in Downtown Miami, which is expected to open in 2028.
Details of the Upcoming Hotel
The upcoming Waldorf Astoria Miami Beach is located on Collins Avenue. It is a 20-story oceanfront hotel featuring 348 renovated suites. The suites all have private balconies and ocean views.
The renovations will introduce a new lobby with the brand’s signature Peacock Alley. It will feature upgraded restaurants and bars along with a redesigned spa and wellness center. There will also be an enhanced fitness center, an improved pool deck with private cabanas, and refreshed event spaces.
Located in Miami Beach’s luxury hotel district, the property is within easy reach of the area’s restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and cultural attractions.
“2201 Collins Avenue is one of Miami Beach’s most storied addresses, and we are proud to announce our plans for a landmark restoration in partnership with Waldorf Astoria,” said Kim Phoebus, COO of US Hotels, Reuben Brothers. “This meticulous restoration represents the next chapter of Miami’s most coveted beachfront address, and one that will continue to enrich the local economy and community for generations to come.”
The redevelopment will introduce the first Waldorf Astoria hotel in Miami Beach while expanding Hilton’s luxury portfolio in South Florida.
