After opening its first South Florida location in Miami Beach, New York City-born sushi chain Bondi Sushi is preparing to launch two more locations: at 3401 NE First Avenue in Midtown and at 1062 Brickell Avenue.
“We’re currently in construction in Midtown and Brickell,” co-owner Aiden Carty told What Now on Monday. The Midtown location is expected to open in January, and the Brickell location is working toward a March opening.
The upcoming locations will feature some new menu items, including new hot food items and the brand’s recently launched Japanese Brunch menu, which features a variety of exciting brunch offerings. These include Fluffy Japanese Pancakes with matcha cream and yuzu maple syrup; Wagyu Benedict on Japanese milk bread; and Izakaya Nachos with crunchy wonton chips, spicy blue crab, and yuzu guacamole.
And what next? With two more locations opening in the first half of next year, what can we expect next from Bondi Sushi?
Bondi is currently in negotiations for a location in Fort Lauderdale, Carty said. A Fort Lauderdale location would partake in what Carty calls “Bondi 3.0,” featuring the increasing variety of Bondi menu offerings, along with a full liquor bar and cocktails inspired by the brand’s New York-based sister bar, Shinji. No lease has yet been signed, Carty said.
There’s a lot of growth ahead for Bondi Sushi next year, but in the meantime check out Bondi Sushi at 959 West Avenue in Miami Beach and follow @bondisushi on Instagram.
