A new way to get the morning started is coming to the city.

Cuban Cafe Pompano is a new proposed restaurant for Pompano Beach at 1621 S Dixie Highway, Unit 117. This is at the former Surreala Coffee space on the south side of the city. An application was just received, so no opening date has been announced.

While not much is known about the menu, coffees and teas will likely be drink options, with food options like sandwiches. When Surreala Coffee was open, the business served pastries as well. What Now Miami reached out to listed owner Genesis Rios, and she was not available for comment.

Cuban Cafe will be at the base of the building, at the intersection of S Dixie Highway and W McNab Road. Amy’s Fresh Bakery & Bistro is just across the street, but there are not many other restaurant concepts nearby. The area is mostly residential, with retail businesses scattered around.

Right now, the team has not yet set up social media accounts or website for the business. More information is expected to follow in the coming weeks.
