Chicken wing megachain Wingstop is fast soaring toward the 2,000-location mark (there were 1,977 locations in 46 U.S. states as of February), and its growth looks poised to continue in the Miami market. A plan review submitted recently by Florida Wingmen LLC shows a new Wingstop opening at 1753 SW Eighth Street, between Southwest 18th and 17th Avenues, in Miami’s Calle Ocho neighborhood.
Miami is already home to 10 Wingstop locations and has taken a liking to its streamlined menu, which features a chicken sandwich, bone-in and boneless wings, tenders, and sides like Louisiana Voodoo Fries, Buffalo Ranch Fries, and Cajun Fried Corn.
Wingstop’s chicken is served up with your choice of sauce from a selection that includes classics like Lemon Pepper, Original Hot, and Garlic Parmesan, along with other favorites like Louisiana Rub, Cajun, and Hawaiian.
Opening in the Tamiami Trail/Eighth Street location, a new Wingstop would join food and drink concepts like Lung Yai Thai Tapas, El Rey De Las Fritas, Tumbao, Mofongo Restaurant (among many more).
What Now reached out to franchisee Sergio Balsinde on Monday to inquire about plans for a Calle Ocho Wingstop location. Balsinde was not immediately available for comment.
