QuikTrip is proposing a convenience store and fuel station at 1613 N. Jackrabbit Trail in Buckeye, InBuckeye reported.

Project documents identify the development as QuikTrip Store No. 0498, planned for the northeast corner of McDowell Road and Jackrabbit Trail. The property currently operates as a trailer sales yard in unincorporated Maricopa County and would need to be annexed into Buckeye.

Fueling plans include eight gasoline dispensers with space for 16 vehicles. Plans also show a dedicated diesel area with room for up to four commercial vehicles, along with separate pumps for RVs and passenger trucks.

The site would have access from both McDowell Road and Jackrabbit Trail. The layout also provides 44 parking spaces, including two accessible spaces.

The proposed store’s size varies between the documents: one lists 5,023 square feet, while another gives a total of 7,318 square feet.

QuikTrip requested an updated pre-application review as Buckeye prepares improvements along Jackrabbit Trail. This early review allows city officials to identify issues before the project advances but does not constitute construction approval.

What Now Phoenix reported in August that QuikTrip is also planning a 5,294-square-foot store at 2801 S. 107th Ave. in Tolleson. The liquor license application for that project lists April 2027 as its estimated completion date.

QuikTrip locations offer fuel, drinks, snacks, and other convenience-store products. Food prepared through QT Kitchens includes breakfast items, pizza, sandwiches, pretzels, and frozen treats.

The documents do not include a construction start or opening date.
