Strollers on Las Olas Boulevard rejoice — a new place for a classic slice of New York-style pizza is opening by one of South Florida’s finest hospitality groups.

Pizza Queen is set to open at 1217 East Las Olas Boulevard this winter. Led by Falsetto Hospitality, the 1,000 square foot restaurant has one mission: bring delicious New York-style pizza to the neighborhood.

The restaurant will offer pizza by the slice and whole pies that start with dough made from premium imported Italian flour and water that has been passed through a system to properly balance mineral levels to replicate New York water — the key to a proper New York pizza. That dough is then topped with imported Italian tomatoes and fresh, local ingredients.

In a statement, Marc Falsetto said that he saw a space in the neighborhood that only a good slice could fill. “Living on Las Olas, I kept thinking the neighborhood was missing something simple – a place where you can just walk in and grab a slice of pizza. It’s the type of everyday New York slice culture people love and cherish and simply does not exist here. Pizza Queen will deliver that experience in spades.”
