Sovereign is preparing to bring its mix of poke bowls, boba tea and Pan-Asian cuisine to Coral Springs, giving diners another option for Asian-inspired food and drinks.

The restaurant is planned for 1308 N. University Drive, Coral Springs. Sovereign lists the location as ‘coming soon’ on its website, but has not announced an opening date.

The company describes its concept as a place where friends and families can gather over food inspired by different Asian cuisines. Its menu brings together fresh poke bowls, handcrafted boba tea and a range of hot dishes, with an emphasis on bold flavors and fresh ingredients.

Poke bowls are a central part of the menu, with customers able to choose from combinations featuring ingredients such as salmon, tuna, vegetables and rice. The restaurant also serves signature bowls, including spicy tuna and salmon, Hawaiian tuna and a vegan option made with teriyaki tofu.

There is plenty beyond the bowls, too. Sovereign’s menu includes ramen, Korean glass noodles, fried rice, dumplings and bao buns. One of its more distinctive offerings is its Hot Gurl Loves Cheesy Ra-man, a stir-fried ramen dish made with a choice of protein, Asian spices and melted mozzarella cheese.

The drink menu features milk tea and fruit tea, with options such as brown sugar milk tea, taro milk tea and passion fruit green tea. The company says it prepares its boba tea daily using premium tea leaves.

Sovereign also puts an emphasis on the dining environment. Its website describes its spaces as relaxed and welcoming, with handcrafted decor, greenery and room for customers to gather away from the crowds.

The Coral Springs restaurant will join the brand’s existing locations at 9723 W. Broward Boulevard in Plantation and 22 NE Third Avenue in downtown Miami.

A permit application for the Coral Springs address was listed as in process last week. Further details about the new restaurant, including its opening date and specific plans for the space, have not yet been announced.
