Popular taco concept Vote for Pedro is getting a new home. The New York-born brand gained a following with its first South Florida outpost at Delray Beach Market, until the food hall closed in January. A representative of the restaurant told What Now that Vote for Pedro is now preparing to open in Boca Raton (a recently submitted plan review gives the address 6018 SW 18th St. C9) this fall.
The new Vote For Pedro will open as a brick-and-mortar offering Mexican food in a sports bar setting, just in time for football season.
“It’s a great combination, a full-blown sports bar Mexican style,” the representative said. “People are excited about it. We’re getting a really good response, and I think it’ll be a hit.”
Vote for Pedro’s roughly 2,500-square-foot space will seat about 150 guests. Its menu is still getting some updates, but expect Vote Pedro’s speciality birria tacos, along with other dishes walking that cantina/sports bar line. Think ribs on one hand, and street corn on the other.
The team behind Vote for Pedro hails, like the concept itself, from New York, where they own and operate Redemption Sports Lounge, which offers brunch, bar foods like sandwiches and burgers, and tacos with protein choices like Carnitas, Camaron, and Chorizo.
If you’re waiting for Vote for Pedro’s big comeback, you shouldn’t have to hold out too much longer.
