Local favorite 51st Deli will soon be opening a second location at 3001 West End near Vanderbilt this spring. Owner Carim Yafai told What Now Nashville that the goal is to open the store in mid-May, pending city codes being approved in a timely manner.
51st Deli prides itself on being a family-run small business in the competitive Nashville market, offering accessible and affordable breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
During an interview with What Now Nashville, Yafai described his goals for the business’s future.
“Finding this space for the second location of 51st was a no-brainer, we took over a former Hugh Baby’s restaurant which was already equipped with kitchenware and restrooms and such, so we’re hoping that will help speed up the opening timeline,” Yafai said.
Along with the location in West, Yafai plans to expand with more locations of the deli in the near future.
“I own two other buildings that I’ve lined up for the 3rd and 4th locations of 51st, but when I saw the 3001 West location become available I knew that would be the first to open,” Yafai told What Now Nashville.
The menu at 51st will be the same as the original location, serving popular items such as the Breakfast Rueben Sandwich, the 51st Club, tacos, carne asada fries, and an assortment of desserts every day.
