Mike Duguay, the owner of Mike’s Ice Cream Shop, has acquired new property in East Nashville.

Duguay bought the building at 4001 Gallatin Pike for $1.1 million, according to the Nashville Post.

What Now Nashville confirmed the purchase with Duguay.

Duguay owns the popular local ice cream shop Mike’s Ice Cream Shop, which serves homemade ice cream and gourmet espresso and coffee beverages. It is located at 129 2nd Ave N.

When asked about his plans for the new building, Duguay said he initially will be using it as an expansion of his current businesses. It will provide more space closer to downtown to store supplies and serve as a multipurpose area for his businesses.

However, the property could eventually be transformed for a different purpose or concept down the line.
