Dalts American Grill is moving forward with plans to return to its longtime West Nashville location, with a building permit issued in late September for a new 7,731-square-foot restaurant at 38 White Bridge Pike. Nashville-based Strategic Hospitality and local entrepreneur Andrew Sohr have acquired the restaurant, which closed in December, and are reviving it.

Permitting records show Shaub Construction Co. Inc., based in Brentwood, as the contractor for the project. The commercial building valuation for the work is approximately $1.54 million. Several outstanding requirements are still listed, including full payment of water and sewer capacity fees, successful backflow inspections, required fire safety systems, and several unscheduled final inspections.

A timeline for when Dalts will reopen is unknown, but its website notes the venue is excited to be “Welcoming You Back Soon”. It originally opened in 1980 and spent more than four decades serving the West Nashville community.

Strategic Hospitality’s Nashville portfolio includes Bastion, The Catbird Seat, Henrietta Red, The Patterson House and Kisser, and Sally’s Stay Awhile. Sohr has connections to Happy Fat Boy Hospitality, including the Bahamas-based Coconut Club and The Yellow Bell Harbourside Inn.
