A new Byblos restaurant is headed to New Orleans’ Lakeview neighborhood, with plans to open on Harrison Avenue.
The restaurant will open at 900 Harrison Avenue, taking over the space most previously occupied by Boil & Barrel according to NOLA.com. Founder Hicham Khodr said the new location is expected to open around mid-July.
According to the media outlet, Khodr said the restaurant’s interior is being renovated with a Mediterranean-inspired design. The location will also feature a full bar and a covered outdoor patio.
Byblos was founded in 1994 by Tarek Tay, Gaby Saliba and Khodr. Since opening its first restaurant on Metairie Road, Byblos has expanded to multiple locations across the New Orleans area, including Metairie and Elmwood. The company also operates Byblos Market, where customers can shop for Mediterranean groceries, prepared foods and specialty ingredients.
Byblos is known for its Mediterranean-inspired menu, featuring specialty lamb dishes, shawarma, kabobs, seafood, wraps and a variety of vegetarian options. Many of its dishes highlight fresh vegetables, whole grains, legumes and olive oil, reflecting the flavors and traditions of Mediterranean cuisine.
