Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse is partnering with L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge to bring an American steakhouse to the casino, according to a press release.
The upcoming restaurant, Emeril’s Chop House, will replace L’Auberge’s current steak restaurant, 18 STEAK, which will continue to operate as Emeril’s Chop House is constructed, expected to open later this year.
Emeril Lagasse was born in Massachusetts, but made his career in New Orleans, where he opened Emeril’s in 1990, serving upscale New Orleans dishes like his Chicken and Smoked Sausage Gumbo. Emeril’s received two Michelin stars in the guide’s 2025 inaugural review of the American South. Lagasse previously opened an Emeril’s Chop House in a casino in Pennsylvania, which was rebranded in 2022.
“With Emeril’s Chop House, we are excited to create a restaurant that delivers the very best – exceptional steaks, the freshest seafood, signature dishes you won’t find anywhere else and handcrafted cocktails that complete the dining experience,” Lagasse said in the release. “It’s about the best quality ingredients, bold flavors and that unmistakable Louisiana hospitality that makes every meal feel like an occasion.”
What Now Las Vegas reported on another Emeril Lagasse restaurant, Meril, set to open in early 2026.
