Shoo Shoo — the stylish & soulful Mediterranean restaurant that’s been a Nolita favorite since 2018 — is officially opening its second location on the Upper East Side on Wednesday, December 17 (following a soft-opening). The new outpost will be located at 1477 Second Avenue at 77th Street.

Shoo Shoo East brings the same fresh, modern Mediterranean cooking that made the downtown original a neighborhood staple, with a menu rooted in family recipes and reimagined through a contemporary New York lens. Expect vibrant mezze, sesame-crusted chicken schnitzel, Moroccan lamb ragu, grilled branzino, and a lively cocktail program from Employees Only alum Dushan Zaric.

Designed as Nolita’s “twin sister,” the Upper East Side space is elegant and understated, featuring natural wood, exposed brick, lush greenery, and a signature corner patio for year-round al fresco dining — a rarity in the neighborhood.  The space is 2,400-square-feet with 95 seats indoors.

Shoo Shoo is the creation of lifelong friends Albert Bitton and Robby Ozer, who first bonded while surfing in Montauk before turning their shared love of food and hospitality into a restaurant brand defined by warmth, quality, and Mediterranean soul. With Nolita still buzzing, they’re now bringing that energy uptown.
