Extra! Extra! Read All About It! Listen toots, I just got a wire with the latest scoop, but you gotta keep it on the low. I ain’t no fink rat, ya dig?

Word on the street is that there’s a new juice-joint opening up on the Upper East Side. I heard it from a guy who really knows his onions, so don’t let any coppers catch ya on your way in. From what they tell me it’s gonna be the Bee’s Knees.

Yes, that’s right. Try not to let the word get out, but a new bar is making its way to 301 East 84th Street called Not A Speakeasy. As the name states, it will definitely not be a speakeasy. Just a simple purveyor of goods and services, nothing else to see…

Don’t tell anyone I told you this, but apparently this hooch-house is being operated by owner Cortney Bond. Bond is the founder of The Bond Group and previously operated UES, an Upper East Side combination ice cream shop and speakeasy. I can’t tell you how to get in, but maybe do a little digging and you may find out.

301 East 84th Street is right behind 84th street Deli and Grocery. With a sealed up door right next to the basement, something tells me you’re going to have to find your way around back if you wanna get inside. You won’t get me to spill the beans though!

Cortney hasn’t said when she expects her new…store… to open, but Not A Speakeasy’s Instagram is currently active and lists the new location as “Coming Soon”. Be sure to follow the page for more details, because I’m not sure if I can afford to send another telegram your way. Fifty cents for a wire, in this economy? Horsefeathers!
