Ayah, an authentic Moroccan restaurant, has opened its doors in New York City, bringing traditional Moroccan flavors to SoHo. Its bold, traditional flavors aim to add a fresh spark to SoHo’s dining scene.

Ayah Brings a Moroccan Spark to New York

At the heart of New York, Ayah by 3rd Space Hospitality, the renowned creators of Maison Close, brings Moroccan flavors, artistry, and spirit.

Ayah’s kitchen is led by Executive Chef Geoffrey Lechantoux, a well-known figure in French cuisine. Along with him, Chef Aïcha Sbaih, a French-born Moroccan chef raised in the traditions of Moroccan cooking, collaborated and created a menu that blends classic and modern flavors, giving guests a true taste of Morocco’s heritage.

Executive Chef Geoffrey Lechantoux of Ayah expressed, “We’re excited to bring Morocco to New York. Every dish and every detail has been crafted with authenticity to create an immersive dining experience that transports our guests to Morocco’s vibrant culinary world.”

Authentic Moroccan Dining Experience With Crafted Menu

The restaurant menu includes iconic and traditional Moroccan dishes like Chhiwates, made with fresh vegetables, spices, and aromatic herbs, and Ayah Pastilla, a crispy pastry filled with spiced chicken, almonds, and cinnamon, showcasing Morocco’s signature flavors.

The menu also features signature tajines, a variety of couscous dishes, and showstopping tableside presentations, including whole fish expertly deboned and racks of lamb carved for guests at their table.

The bar program of Ayah restaurant is led by New York mixologist Adrien Lefort. He brings a playful yet sophisticated touch to the cocktail menu. Highlights include The Dellah, made with citron vodka, jasmine tea, watermelon, mint, lime, and champagne, and The Climbing Goat, a mix of mezcal, pistachio liqueur, goat cheese, honey, and rose.

Blend of Moroccan Craftsmanship & Modern NY Design

Ayah showcases Moroccan craftsmanship alongside contemporary New York design, brought to life by DMDesigns. The interior elements of the restaurant feature custom-made tables, handcrafted windows, velvet curtains, archways, gold-accented mirrors, and lighting created by authentic Moroccan artists.

Hand-painted walls, carved details, and murals add to the vibrant atmosphere, celebrating Moroccan culture in every corner.

The restaurant features three dining rooms, a central bar, and banquet tables, accommodating everything from intimate dinners to lively gatherings.

As SoHo’s dining scene continues to evolve, Ayah brings a unique Moroccan experience that blends authenticity, artistry, and modern flair, ideal for groups, private events, or a night out in the city.
