I need you to do me a favor, New York. I know today’s latest restaurant might be a little annoying, but I just need you to let him tag along with us for the rest of the day. I swear, he’ll be cool…

Joking aside, Kid Brother Pizza is a brand new pizza concept that is set to join the highly-anticipated Union Square Urbanspace Food Hall later this year. Opening up later this year in the new Zero Irving building at 124 East 14th Street, Urbanspace will be curating a dynamic lineup of chefs, food entrepreneurs, and exciting new restaurant concepts. Urbanspace currently operates four successful food halls in Manhattan already, and the new location planned for Zero Irving is currently slated to open in Spring 2022.

Urbanspace has vowed that 25% of the Food Hall will be reserved for use by first-time entrepreneurs or start-up companies operating for less than four years. Now, as the Zero Irving Urbanspace moves closer to completion, more information has been revealed about these new vendors. Kid Brother Pizza is one such vendor and is owned by Chef Michael Davis and Camila Nevin.

Most recently, the two previously operated Boy Blue Coffee & Goods, a popular coffee shop derived from Chef Davis’s nickname. David is a veteran Chef and restaurant consultant, and is perhaps best known for running the kitchen at the 4-starred Del Posto restaurant in New York. Camila Nevin, meanwhile, is a marketing and hospitality expert who has been working in the industry for years and brings with her a depth of marketing and branding insight. Boy Blue was founded as a New York based online corner store, bringing their signature goods, breads, and sauces fresh to New Yorkers every day. With an established mastery in bread, cheese, and sauce, it was only a matter of time before the team decided to branch out into pizza.

Opening up their very first location the upcoming Zero Irving Urbanspace, Kid Brother Pizza will serve freshly baked pizza alongside Chef Davis’s signature pasta, which were some of the most popular wholesale orders from Boy Blue. Kid Brother will also sell Boy Blue’s popular at-home pasta kits, letting guests try their own hand at making their favorite pasta.

At the moment, Camila is currently applying for a beer and wine license for the space and is proposing operating hours of 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM every day, seven days a week. While the two have not yet launched the social media accounts for Kid Brother, you can still try out some of their pasta and coffee by ordering through Boy Blue.
