It’s looking like Cheeseboat, owned by Netty Davit’ashvili, is currently planning its second location in the Hell’s Kitchen, at 747 Ninth Avenue, according to leasing data obtained Tuesday by What Now New York.
The Georgian-American restaurant looks to bring their consumers the “best dishes from the mighty country of Georgia in a way that will tease your palette and and introduce you to a whole new cuisine” according to its website. The establishment is best known for serving khachapuri, leavened bread with cheese in the middle, a traditional Georgian dish. Restaurant goers can also choose from a variety of Georgian wines to top off their meal.
Cheeseboat was first established in 2016, with the goal of creating a menu around sharing food with the group you eat with. Consumers can enjoy Cheeseboat’s well known Khachapuri by ripping off its bread crust and dipping into melted cheese.
Cheeseboat’s first and current location resides in Brooklyn, with hours from 12-10PM Sundays, 12-11PM Saturdays, 6-11Pm Fridays, and 6-10PM Thursdays. The establishment remains closed on Mondays-Wednesdays.
As of now, no opening date has been announced. What Now New York tried to reach Davit’ashvili for more information, but she was unavailable by phone. However, fans of Brooklyn’s Cheeseboat can look out for possible updates on their Facebook and Instagram.
